My most recent creation, Onyxiria in 3D model. This drow-druid from the moon circle is a character I created in a Dungeons & Dragons campaign. She’s particularly close to my heart, as she was the first time I played the game!
Like all D&D players, when you create a character, you want to find a visual to represent it 😉 So I decided to make her concept art, to show my friends. Then I set myself the challenge of making it in 3D, so that I could print it in resin and play it directly on the game board (which I did, by the way). Finally, I thought it might be interesting to push Onyxiria even further, by taking it to retopology and texturing to present it to you.
This project presented me with a number of challenges, as after some time spent sculpting, I had the misfortune to have my computer wiped out (short-circuit). As a result, I had lost much of the work I’d done, and my only option was to go back to an old, bad iteration of it.
Although it was quite perilous, I’m super happy to have been able to overcome the challenges imposed on me and come up with such a result. There are a few differences between the original concept and this one, but most of what I wanted to achieve has been done!
